This is probably commonly known, but IMHO it should be set in the preferred
application menu in gnome (my gripe over with :)).
Anyway, using Gnome-2.2.2, to enable Evolution (or you're favourite mail client
when you click on a link in Mozilla*, Galeon, Epiphany), add the following
protocol handler:
Gnome menu | Applications | Desktop Preferences | Advanced | File types and
programs
Then Add Service under 'Internet Services' and create a new service as
follows:
Description: Mailto Handler Protocol: mailto Program: evolution "%s"Note, the description can be anything you desire.
